Pictures of Classroom - Band Room
- These pictures display several different angles of how the band room is traditionally set up for each and every rehearsal. The organized atmosphere encourages clear thinking and judgement, encouraging students to make the possible decisions while in the classroom. The room is also organized to develop the best learning environment for each and every student.
4.) The teacher establishes two-way communication with the learner that is inclusive, flexible, and inviting.
White Board - Band Room
- This white board is constantly displayed in my classroom. On here are several pieces of information dealing with the weeks activities and announcements. Students are encouraged to ask questions dealing with these announcements so that no miscommunication is made.
5.) The teacher treats learners fairly and deals with classroom behavior in a consistent manner, so that inappropriate, off-task or challenging behaviors are addressed immediately and appropriately and there is no impact on learning.
Email - To Mark Childs - 5/12/13; Response on 5/13/13
- This email shows Mr. Sloniker asking Mr. Childs to observe Mr. Tim Arnold in his classroom on Thursday, May 16th. After receiving his observation back from Mr. Cadle, Mr. Sloniker wanted to take intiative and see the necessary steps that are needed to get the full respect from younger secondary students. The information gathered from Mr. Arnold will hopefully help Mr. Sloniker in the future with classroom management problems.
6.) The teacher creates an enviornment of mutual respect and positive rapport.
Observation - 5/14/13
- The above observation made by Mr. Cadle supports the above statement.
7.) Classroom procedures and routines are evident so the schedule and transitions maximize instructional time and allow for effective record keeping.
